3-D digital camera
Invented by – Fujifilm
Fujifilm, the world's first digital camera manufacturer, developed a 3-D digital camera, the FinePix Real 3D W1. The 10-megapixel FinePix contains two lenses that are about the same distance apart as human eyes and take pictures of an item from slightly different viewpoints. These photos are then stitched together to create the sense of depth. Its 3-D photographs can be viewed on the camera's back LCD screen or in a dedicated digital photo frame without the use of bulky 3-D glasses.

Smart thermostat
Invented by – Seth Frader Thompson
Seth Frader Thompson designed the Smart Thermostat in 2009. It all began when Seth Frader-Thompson was driving a Prius. Priuses have little screens on the dashboard that show you your gas mileage in real time as you drive. Frader-Thompson had the idea that houses should have something comparable. So he created the EnergyHub Dashboard, a little device with a screen that can wirelessly communicate with your furnace and other appliances to tell you exactly how much energy (or gas) each one is using and how much it is costing you. It can also turn appliances on and off, as well as raise and lower the temperature in your home, allowing you to control the actual power hogs.

Bladeless Fan
Invented by – James Dyson
There hasn't been much innovation in the field since Schuyler Skaats Wheeler created the electric fan 127 years ago. The bladeless, non-buffeting Air Multiplier was introduced by James Dyson. Air is drawn in through base vents and pushed out by a hidden impeller over a circular airfoil-shaped ramp that runs inside the halo's rim, resulting in an uninterrupted stream of cool air. The Air Multiplier is safer than traditional fans because it lacks blades, and it keeps regular functionality such as tilt, oscillation, and speed adjustment. It also appears to be cooler.

The Electric Eye
Invented by – MIT researchers
MIT researchers have created a microchip that could help blind people restore some of their sight. Though it does not totally restore normal vision, it allows a blind individual to identify people and traverse a room on their own. The chip, which is protected against water damage by being encased in titanium, would be placed inside a patient's eyeball. The patient will next put on a pair of eyeglasses with a tiny camera that delivers images directly to the chip, which then sends them to the brain. Human trials are, hopefully, only a few years away.
