Apple 3

Invented by – Apple Inc

Apple Computer's Apple III (styled as apple ///) is a business-oriented personal computer that was released in 1980. It was supposed to be the successor to the Apple II series and ran the Apple SOS operating system, but it was mainly regarded as a market failure. It was created with two important characteristics in mind: a real typewriter-style upper/lowercase keyboard (the Apple II only supported uppercase) and an 80-column display for business customers. Dr. Wendell Sander oversaw the development of the Apple III, which began in late 1978. It was given the internal code name "Sara," after Sander's daughter. On May 19, 1980, the system was announced, and it was released in late November of that year.

Apple silentype

Invented by – Andy Hertzfeld

Apple Computer, Inc.'s first printer, the Apple Silentype, was introduced in 1979 and released in March 1980 for US$599, shortly after the Apple II Plus. Andy Hertzfeld, who later worked on the Apple Macintosh, wrote the Silentype's firmware. The Silentype is a thermal printer that prints in 80 columns and utilises special paper. It might also be used with the Apple III. Silent operation, relatively compact size, print speed, and reliability were all major benefits of the Silentype over other printers at the time, making it ideal for usage in the emerging point-of-sale and hospitality industries. The Silentype was the first printer to be utilised as a point-of-sale remote requisition printer in a restaurant to expedite service.
