Ant robotics
Invented by – James McLurkin
While working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in 1991, American electrical engineer James McLurkin was the first to propose the concept of "robot ants." Sensors, infrared emitters, and communication systems equipped the robots to detect objects in their route. Swarm robotics is a subset of ant robotics. Swarm robots are rudimentary machines with limited sensing and computing skills. Ant robots are swarm robots that communicate by leaving and following pheromone trails, much like ants do. Some ant robots utilise long-lasting trails (normal chemical trails or smart transceiver trails), while others use short-lasting trails (heat, odour, alcohol, or light), and still others employ virtual trails.

Linux
Invented by – Linus Torvalds
Linus Benedict Torvalds is a Finnish-American software engineer and the creator of the Linux kernel, which is utilised by Linux distributions and other operating systems such as Android. He also invented Git, a distributed version control system, and Subsurface, a scuba dive logbook and planning programme. Linus Torvalds, a Finnish student, started Linux in 1991 as a personal effort to create a new free operating system kernel. Throughout its existence, the Linux kernel has been marked by steady expansion. It has developed from a tiny amount of C files released under a licence restricting commercial distribution in 1991 to the 4.15 version released in 2018 with more than 23.3 million lines of source code.

Color image scanner
Invented by – HP
LaserJet is a brand name for a line of laser printers sold by Hewlett-Packard, an American computer corporation (HP). The HP LaserJet was the first desktop laser printer in the world. For all HP laser printers, Canon provides both mechanisms and cartridges. The globe was a completely different place when the Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) was founded in 1939. There were no computers that were entirely electronic. Industrial printing presses were the only printers available. HP's innovations were essential in making home computers and printers more affordable for the typical customer, and their success prompted a flurry of electronics startups in Santa Clara County, California.
