iBOT
Invented by – Dean Kamen
The iBOT is a motorised wheelchair that balances on two of its six wheels for stability and mobility. The iBOT can climb stairs and makes eye contact with people who are standing. Dean Kamen came up with the idea for the iBOT in 1999. On October 27, 1999, Kamen filed U.S. patent #6311794, which was issued on November 6, 2001.

Phase-change incubator

The phase-change incubator is a low-cost, low-maintenance incubator that may be used to test water for microorganisms. It employs little balls holding a chemical compound that, when heated and insulated, will maintain a temperature of 37 °C (about 99 °F) for 24 hours. Amy B. Smith, an MIT professor and engineer, devised the phase-change incubator in 1999. This eliminates the need for a laboratory or an expensive portable incubator to evaluate cultures. As a result, it is especially beneficial to poor or isolated populations.

Torino Scale
Invented by – Richard P. Binzel
The Torino Scale is a technique for assessing the impact hazard associated with near-Earth objects (NEOs) such as asteroids and comets that was developed by Richard P. Binzel in 1999. By merging probability statistics and known kinetic damage potentials into a single threat-value, it was designed as a tool for astronomers and the general public to judge the seriousness of collision predictions. The Torino Scale employs a 0-to-10 integer scale. When compared to the regular "background noise" of collision events, a 0 suggests that an object has a negligibly small chance of colliding with the Earth, or that it is too small to penetrate Earth's atmosphere intact. A score of ten implies that a collision is almost certain to occur, and the striking item is massive enough to cause a worldwide catastrophe.

Hendrick's Gin
Invented by – Leslie Gracie
Hendrick's Gin is a gin brand launched in 1999 by William Grant & Sons at the Girvan distillery in Scotland. Lesley Gracie, a Yorkshire native, came up with the idea after being hired by William Grant & Sons to work on fresh liquid development for some of their products. She was tasked with developing a new super-premium gin a decade later. Hendrick's adds flavour with Bulgarian rose and cucumber in addition to the classic juniper infusion. Hendrick's gin is packaged in an apothecary-style dark brown bottle.
